City of Roswell invites residents to celebrate the completion of the park’s redevelopment and explore new amenities.

The City of Roswell is excited to welcome residents back to Liberty Square Park! Following a redevelopment project designed to enhance recreational opportunities, improve accessibility, and create welcoming community spaces, the City will officially celebrate the park’s reopening on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 11 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a Community Day.

Located at 1280 Mission Hills Court, the 21.4-acre park has undergone improvements to its recreational amenities, accessibility, and community gathering spaces. The redevelopment was made possible through a $2.2 million grant from Georgia’s Improving Neighborhood Outcomes in Disproportionately Impacted Communities (INODIC) program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.

The redevelopment reflects the City’s continued commitment to investing in neighborhood parks and creating spaces where residents of all ages can gather, play, and connect.

    A Community-Informed Investment

Community involvement has played an important role in shaping the future of Liberty Square Park.

In June 2025, the City hosted a public open house, inviting residents to learn about the proposed improvements, ask questions, and share their ideas. That feedback helped guide the redevelopment, ensuring the park’s enhancements reflected the needs and priorities of the surrounding community.

Now, residents will have an opportunity to return, explore the completed improvements, and celebrate this investment in their neighborhood.

The project introduces new recreational amenities, enhanced accessibility, and improved gathering spaces designed to support recreation and community connections for years to come.
